Scott Associates wasn’t really hired just to save a noble Neo-Gothic structure from demolition. Our responsibility was to see two remarkable structures be reintroduced back into the community with a useful purpose.
That meant addressing an adaptive reuse of the buildings, identifying financing concepts, and designing a renovation that preserves the buildings' remarkable historic character and provides a setting for an active and useful social service campus. We also sought to create an economic functionality as a means of providing a sustainable non-profit development that will be a catalyst for continuing change in the Ivanhoe Neighborhood.
Our work continues to focus on defining and creating this non-profit campus.
